Hi everyone. I had a great weekend, staying indoors and sleeping, hope yours was good too?
Throughout last week, I commuted from the mainland to island and I didn’t notice much difference apart from the traffic. Ah! The traffic na die, I would close from work at exactly 5 and I’ll get home around 7/8. That Third Mainland bridge is just the worst, but I heard it’s better than Ikorodu Road. Sigh. The highlight of my mainland to island commute was when the bus I took broke down on that bridge, right in the middle of the bridge. Lmao. I actually enjoyed the experience, I was able to take in the fresh air and even though it was pretty dark, I went to edge to take in the beautiful view. The only problem was, errr, I don’t know how to put this, but the bridge was shaky. Not shaking like that but it just felt like someone was walking on a strong rope. Sigh, I suck at describing things.
After a week away from my laptop, it was eventually fixed over the weekend and waiting for me calmly when I got to work. I can now multitask in peace and allow my phone rest.
I’ve been following this Hallelujah Challenge and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made this year. I don’t join everyday though and I’m not fasting along for health reasons. Sometimes, you can view the live video later in the day, I think that happens when he saves the video, idk really. Anyway, Pastor Nathaniel was laying so much emphasis on the 10th day and I keyed into it and told God I had to testify on the 10th day. On my way back from work I got positive news on something that had been weighing me down. It’s not exactly the big news yet, but it’s something to hold on to. So in case, you’ve not joined in yet, you should and if data is the problem, you can just check Past Nath’s IG (@Nathanielblow) for the daily prayers and confessions.
Celebrity marriage is coming to the cinemas on Friday and I’m super excited about it, I’m definitely going to see on Friday. Also, I have a wedding to attend this weekend and I’m excited about it too, because it’s more like a mini reunion of my uni coursemates.
I’m currently loving two videos on YT.
I’m not much of a Simi lover but I love her music and I’ve been binging on her Simisola album and right now I’m so in love with her Owanbe music video. I totally love the gown she wore and I’m definitely stealing her style. Also, she looked really amazing in the gown she wore to AFRIMA yesterday.
The second is Nonso Amadi’s radio, my ex liked the song and when we broke I kind of stopped listening to it, but who I dey kid? It’s a nice song and I love the video.
The interesting part is these two are having their shows this year, Simi’s own is on the 26th of this month at Hard Rock Cafe and regular tickets are selling for 5k. Nonso Amadi is headlining his show on the 19th of December at the Federal Palace Hotel and I’m so here for this.
I’m so happy for Wizkid and how he totally owned this year, I’m sure by this time next year Kiss Daniel will be bigger than he (Kiss Daniel) is right now. Also I’m so happy Salif Keita won an African legend award at AFRIMA, his song Africa, has been on repeat since last week, that and Angelique Kidjo’s Agolo.
Have a great week y’all.
