Hi! I’m currently at the office just because PHCN decided we do not deserve power supply this weekend. Mad bunch, I’m telling you. Okay so, I’m writing this on Sunday but I guess I won’t post till Monday. On Friday, my friends invited me to their office party and it was an opportunity for me to wear that red gown I was saving for December (even though I wore it in September already) and to eat & drink for free. I had one too many drinks and woke up with one maaaaddddd headache, I swore off alcohol at that moment.
SocialigaXmasFestival was on Saturday and I went with Toke. I bought my ticket online immediately I saw the ad on Twitter even though I wasn’t sure I wanted to attend. Sigh all these dumbass things I do on impulse. Toke and I were supposed to go to Nonso Amadi’s concert together, but she said she wasn’t interested again since Odunsi wasn’t going to be performing. I sha said okay, let’s do Socialiga then, since I had my ticket already.
I got there pretty late, no thanks to Toke. I was a bit disappointed due to the lack of vendors, my major reason for attending was to have access to a variety of street food, but my expectations were cut short. I got there in time for the final game but the sun which was setting at that time didn’t make watching the game fun for me. I had already promised my colleague that I was going to attend a beach party her church organised and it was on Saturday too. My initial plan was to go for Socialiga early and leave around 2/3 to make it in time for the beach thingy; I didn’t get to Socialiga until past 3 and I got to the beach around 6. Seeing as I swore off alcohol, I had yam, potato, fried plantain & Baileys (it doesn’t count as alcohol please), sat down, ignored one uncle that kept on drumming “hello, hello, hi, hello, hi, hello” irritatingly into my ears and went to my house.
Sunday, well, I’m currently writing this from my office, that should explain how my Sunday is going.
You know for a long time, I actually thought Mariah Carey owned O Holy Night, I thought she wrote and arranged it. Lol, I know better now.

OMG, the season finale of SGIT left me shoook, I screamed when I noticed the ring on Tiwa’s finger. See that’s the thing about communication, it has the ability to save a relationship no matter how deteriorated it is. Derin sha tried small to redeem her already terrible image, even in her niceness, she was still mean and bitchy. When Shalewa went to talk to Mide, I felt this sense of pride rising within me. Like isn’t it this same rude, selfish, spoilt brat from Season 1? I like her character development. Hopefully, Tiwa has turned off her self-sabotage button.
